Soul Contract: My Journey to Recommitting to Life

There was a time when I questioned my very existence on this planet. I struggled to understand why I was here, why I had to witness so much pain, destruction, and suffering. The greed, corruption, and hatred in the world made it hard to see any reason for being part of it.

As a child, I would wonder, Who would miss me if I disappeared? These thoughts faded for a while but resurfaced after I graduated college. With no clear direction in life, I found myself escaping into the virtual world of World of Warcraft—a reality that, in many ways, felt more fulfilling than the one I lived in. The degree I had earned in Finance felt meaningless in a world that seemed so broken.

And then, the thought returned: What if I just disappeared?

A Turning Point: Discovering Reiki and Energy Work

At 23, something shifted. A friend invited me to a Reiki Circle, and for the first time in a long while, I felt a spark of purpose. I learned how energy, intention, and consciousness shape our reality. Slowly, I began reclaiming my sense of worth.

I found meaning in using Reiki to help heal the planet—sending energy to calm hurricanes, bring rain to wildfires, and uplift the collective consciousness. I thought, If I keep doing this work, maybe I can leave the Earth better than I found it.

But just as I was beginning to step into my power, the darkness returned.

The Weight of Doubt and Seeking an Escape

Doubt crept in like an old friend I never wanted to see again. Despite my efforts, the world still seemed overwhelmed by suffering. I questioned whether humanity even had the ability to overcome the forces that sought to keep us divided.

"Has the darkness already won?"

Once again, I found myself seeking escape—not through video games this time, but through out-of-body experiences. Through meditation, I traveled to different dimensions, exploring places that resonated more with me than Earth ever had. I felt at home in those realms, surrounded by peace and beauty.

But the work wasn’t there. The work was here.

Writing My Soul Contract: A Commitment to Earth

During one of my lowest points, I drove to the mountains to visit my teacher. The first words out of her mouth stopped me in my tracks:

"You need to write a Soul Contract so that you can recommit to living in your body on this planet. You chose to be here. The work is not out there—it’s here, on Earth."

Something about those words struck me deeply. I had always believed in Soul Contracts, but until that moment, I hadn’t realized I had been breaking my own. I had spent so much time resisting my existence here, forgetting that my soul had chosen to come for a reason.

On September 17, 2018, I read my Soul Contract aloud in front of a group of witnesses. They signed it—not as enforcers, but as silent holders of my commitment.

At that moment, something within me shifted. I felt my soul anchor into my heart, fully integrating into my body. A single tear fell from my left eye as I experienced what I can only describe as the Alignment of Body, Mind, and Soul.

That night, as I lay in bed, I heard the sound of harps, violins, and organs playing a celestial melody. I knew no one else could hear it.

"What is this?" I asked.

And Spirit answered, "We are celebrating YOU—your success, your commitment."

Recommitting to My Purpose

Writing my Soul Contract changed everything. It was a declaration—a promise to fully embrace this life and honor my reason for being here.

My Soul Contract Stated:

✅ I recommit to living in this body with longevity, humility, and gratitude.
✅ I recommit to sharing my gifts and talents with the world to assist in the healing of our collective consciousness.

From that moment on, I no longer questioned whether I belonged here. I knew I did.

The Soul Contract I wrote was my way of saying yes to life, yes to my mission, and yes to being part of this world.

What Is a Soul Contract?

A Soul Contract is an agreement made before we incarnate, shaping the experiences, relationships, and lessons we will encounter in this lifetime. It serves as a blueprint for our spiritual growth, guiding us toward the purpose we chose before birth.

Sometimes, we forget our contracts. Life’s challenges can make us doubt why we’re here, leading us to resist or even try to escape our journey. But when we consciously recommit to our Soul Contract, we step into alignment with our true path.

Your Soul Contract is a reminder that you are here on purpose, for a purpose. If you’ve ever questioned your existence, know that your soul chose this life, this body, and this moment in time.

I know what it’s like to feel disconnected from this world, but I also know the power of recommitting to life. Writing my Soul Contract changed everything for me—it gave me back my sense of belonging, my passion, and my mission.
